Who is ROUGH BIKE?

We are a company aiming to disrupt the micro-mobility industry by offering ultra-low cost, premium quality e-bikes to consumers all over Europe - and eventually the world.

Are the prices inclusive of VAT?

Yes.

Why can't I call you?

We are exploring different support functions that are efficient but also user-friendly, ensuring full communication with Rough Bike. As of now, email is the best way to do this.

When do you get the bike once you have reserved it?

We will start delivery in the second quarter of 2023. If order intake is very high, this may cause delivery to be delayed.

Are the bikes tested in Europe?

Yes, our co-founder has been riding the Rough ONE bike for more than a year in Denmark and our supplier is known for delivering only high quality bikes.

Is there a warranty on the bike?

Yes, there is a 24-month warranty. It is important that the bike is maintained according to the instructions provided with the bike to be eligible.

How long does the bike last?

You can expect a Rough Bike to last for more than 10 years if you maintain it regularly.

Is there service available for the bike?

Yes, there are several service centres in cities throughout Europe that can work on our e-bikes. Rough Bike will have more about this on the website in early 2023.

How can it be so cheap?

We have no middlemen to profit from customers, along with long-term interest-free financing, much like Tesla.

Is there no credit approval at all?

No, you just can't be listed in a credit register.

Don't you have to pay a down payment?

No, there is no down payment - and the first 2 months are free before you have to pay the first installment.

Is it possible to pay off the subscription agreement with one payment?

Yes, at anytime during the subscription period, it is possible to ask for a settlement and pay the remaining amount.

How is the bike delivered?

The bike can be delivered to your address or you can pick it up at our warehouse, whichever you choose.

Can the bike be ridden without pedaling?

Yes, up to a limited speed. Range is affected if you do not pedal.

Can I ride the bike like a regular bike?

Yes, you can use the bike as a regular bike.

What are the weight restrictions on the bikes?

Rough Bike ONE: 150 kg weight limit.

Rough Bike SMART: 110 kg weight limit.

Rough Bike ADVENTURE: 150 kg weight limit.

Rough Bike SIGMA: 110 kg weight limit.

Can the foldable bikes be taken on trains?

Yes, the foldable bikes are meant to be taken on trains and in the apartment as it doesn't weigh much more than a regular bike.

What happens after I reserve a bike?

You will receive a digital agreement to sign, then you wait to receive the bike. We will keep you informed of the status of your delivery. You will not be charged until you have received the bike and the free period is over.

Do you have a showroom?

No, we do not have a showroom yet, but we will in 2024. Until then, all models can be viewed on the website.

What if I am under 18?

Then your parents must instead reserve a bike. This is a private agreement with a right of first refusal.

Do I risk having to pay anything before I get the bike?

No, you only pay once you have received the bike and after the 2 free months.

Are the brakes hydraulic?

Yes, and it makes the bike brake much better than with regular brakes.

How big is the engine?

There are 2 models: 250W and 750W - 48V.

The batteries are standard 12,5 Amp/hour, which can be upgraded to 17,5 Amp/hour.

Does the bike come with pedals?

Yes, all bikes are delivered with pedals.
